Chick on Fire organizes recipes into three primary categories: Chicken Dishes with 7 items, Sweet Desserts with 7 products, and On-The-Go Meals with 8 options. Each recipe card displays four color-coded metrics: pink for preparation time, green for calories, blue for difficulty level, and red for ingredient count. The app uses a favorites system with heart icons that allow instant bookmarking from both list and detail views.
Every dish includes precise calorie counts, protein content in grams, and carbohydrate measurements. For example, Chocolate Pudding shows 96 Cal with 4g protein and 8g carbs, while Apple Cinnamon Pie displays 187 Cal with 2g protein and 26g carbs. The detail screen calculates total calories based on serving size selection with a real-time counter. The interface displays "CALORIE: CALCULATED" status once metrics are processed for your chosen quantity.
Individual recipe screens present overhead photography of finished dishes, difficulty badges ranging from EASY to higher levels, ingredient counts from 5 to 10+ items, and cooking times displayed in minutes. A serving selector allows adjustment from 1 to multiple portions with automatic recalculation. Quantity controls use minus and plus buttons with current count displayed between them. The back navigation uses consistent pink rounded buttons with left arrows across all category screens.
Every recipe displays exact cooking duration in minutes, allowing you to plan your day efficiently. Filter by time ranges to find quick 10-minute meals or commit to longer cooking projects when you have extra time available.
Complete nutritional breakdown shows total calories, protein grams, and carbohydrate content for every dish. The system recalculates all values automatically when you adjust serving sizes, keeping your nutrition tracking accurate across different portion amounts.
Recipe descriptions focus on straightforward cooking processes without unnecessary complications. Difficulty ratings help you choose recipes that match your current skill level, from EASY beginner dishes to more complex preparations.
Tap the heart icon on any recipe to add it to your personal favorites list for instant access later. Your collection syncs across the app, making it quick to find and cook your preferred dishes again without searching through categories.
Browse three distinct meal types: hearty Chicken Dishes for protein-focused meals, Sweet Desserts including puddings and pies, and On-The-Go Meals designed for portable eating. Each category maintains its own product count and specialized recipe selections.
Adjust serving amounts from single portions to multiple servings with the built-in selector. All nutritional metrics update in real-time, and the quantity controls let you increase or decrease total recipe output to match your meal planning needs.
